10 Things WWE Could Learn From The Marvel Universe

7. Learning From Their Mistakes

It may look like Marvel have the midas touch at the moment, having churned out a series of critically and commercially successful films in recent times, but it hasn't always been so rosy. In the early 2000s, there were a number of films that failed to win over critics or audiences. Daredevil, Hulk, The Punisher, Fantastic Four, Elektra: these are just some of the Marvel franchise films that were branded disappointments. What did Marvel do about this? Did they sit idly by and watch the mediocre box-office and reviews continue to roll in? No, they didn't. They learned from their mistakes and took a more hands-on approach with their films, making a number them in-house. The increase in the quality of the films and the money they make at the box-office has been staggering. With buy rates falling and the business in a serious creative slump at present, WWE would do well by doing did and taking a serious look at where the problems are. Vince McMahon has a tendency to ignore the problems and play it safe these days, since he has no competition and WWE has enough fingers in other pies that they can take losses on things like the WWE Network. They say those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it. If WWE don't take a long look at why they are in the shape they are currently in, things will only get worse.
