8. The Entire TNA Library
The promotional graphic that leaked two weeks ago listed “Independent Wrestling Content such as TNA & Ring of Honor” under the $14.99 plan. It’s no secret that WWE have been chasing TNA’s video library for quite some time, and while a deal has yet to materialise, the fact that TNA are mentioned by name suggests that we might be seeing their shows on the WWE Network sooner than first thought.
TNA’s current distribution channels are woefully outdated. They’ve uploaded plenty of classic material to YouTube, but their previous forays with video on-demand have ended in failure. If you want to track down an old TNA show, you’ll likely have to find a DVD copy, which seems like such an effort in 2016.
Adding these shows would make TNA’s old programming immediately accessible, and expose it to a wider audience. The company has obviously had its ups and downs, but Turning Point 2005 and Slammiversary 2012 (with its classic Kurt Angle/AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels/Frankie Kazarian tag title match) are outstanding events, and there are countless others. For all their flaws, TNA’s tape library is full of gems, and uploading them all would make the $14.99 infinitely more attractive.
