AJ Styles made his WWE debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble and went on to have a career year within the company. "The Phenomenal One" had amazing matches throughout the year before winning the WWE Championship as part of the Smackdown roster. Given his amount of success, it’s easy to forget that he lost his Wrestlemania debut against Chris Jericho.

Yes, Styles lost to Y2J clean as a whistle at the “Show of Shows”. Such a thought is almost unthinkable given their current roles within the WWE, but alas, it happened. AJ Styles deserves to net a win at Wrestlemania; whether or not "The Champ That Runs the Camp" makes it to show as the WWE Champion is irrelevant. Considering AJ Styles is thirty-nine years old, he doesn’t have many years left as a full-time talent and as such needs the win sooner rather than later.

Whoever Styles faces at the “Granddaddy of Them All” needs to put him over. It’s simply best for business.
