10 Things WWE Needs To Learn From WrestleMania 37

2. Do Better With The Piped-In Crowd

There was clearly so much to enjoy about WrestleMania 37, but one negative of the event that needs addressing is the piped-in crowd reaction.

WWE has utilised those faux chants or manipulated ThunderDome reactions throughout so much of the Empty Arena Era, yet the manufactured noise was often totally misused across both nights of this year's Showcase of the Immortals.

For certain superstars, WWE's piped-in crowd response went completely against the thoughts of those in attendance at Raymond James Stadium - with the fake noise, for example, cheering Hulk Hogan and booing Edge, while a large number of those 25,000 fans at the venue were booing Hogan and cheering the Rated-R Superstar.

That wasn't the biggest issue with the manufactured crowd noise, mind, for it was the sheer volume control of the piped-in reactions that was the most jarring element.

At times during the kick-off shows, those speaking could barely be heard because WWE opted to overlay this content with annoyingly loud crowd rumblings. Likewise, this was something that was present throughout so much of the WrestleMania 37 card itself, with the clearly false crowd noises drowning out the commentary, the backstage segments, and the real fans who were at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
