10 Things The WWE Did Right In 2014

3. Giving Dolph Ziggler The Spotlight At Survivor Series

When you take a poll of the WWE superstar who most deserves a push, three names typically come to mind: Cesaro, Damien Sandow, and Dolph Ziggler. Unlike Cesaro and Sandow, Ziggler has been at the top, but his time at the top has always been short; which is why the WWE Universe wants to have Ziggler make a long run with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. There are many theories as to why Ziggler has not been pushed in a way that he should be, but maybe the tide is turning. Being the first guy to stand up to The Authority and join John Cena's Survivor Series team was a huge step. It put him in the spotlight immediately for the entire lead up to the traditional five-on-five Survivor Series match. Being down 3-on-1, Ziggler was able to pull off two great eliminations before The Authority started to interfere, and then history was made with the debut of Sting. While not as dominant as Roman Reigns' performance in 2013, Ziggler was the one in the spotlight for this main event. Hopefully this leads to bigger things in 2015 for Dolph, but giving him the spotlight at the Survivor Series was one thing the WWE did great in 2014.
