10 Things WWE Did Right At Survivor Series

4. Stephanie McMahon's Post Show Freak Out

The way the final moments of the show were produced were brilliant. Dolph Ziggler left for the backstage area with John Cena while the announcers went silent. There was a close-up shot of Stephanie McMahon on the floor realizing what the loss really meant: The Authority is no more. A big reason why The Authority are such good heels is because it's easy to hate a snobby rich person like Stephanie and her husband Triple H. They're used to success, so when they fail like they did at Survivor Series we enjoy it. Stephanie did a fantastic job of going crazy after the loss. That reaction by Stephanie was key because if they sold it by just making sad faces that wouldn't be that effective. They had to overdo it the way Stephanie did. Hunter was standing there in complete silence while his wife was on the mat rolling around like a three year old that wasn't allowed to play with her favorite toy because she was being bad. Stephanie's heel persona will be missed. Hunter will probably be back very soon, but Stephanie is likely going to be off screen for a while.
