10 Things WWE Super ShowDown 2020 Told Us About WrestleMania 36
2. Goldberg Will Main Event
It'd be nice to think that WWE will finally show Drew McIntyre some respect and let his match with Brock Lesnar headline WrestleMania 36. Truthfully, it seems more plausible that Vince will revert to type and book Roman Reigns vs. Bill Goldberg in the top slot instead.
Match length be damned, for this is all about marquee value and sheer hype.
This fan must admit that he has a perverse interest in how fans in Tampa would handle Reigns vs. Goldberg in the main event spot. Plus, he's a self-admitted WCW mark who loves the nostalgia of seeing big Bill run through foes like it's 1998 again. The problem with that may be that it's only a matter of time before Roman reclaims his spot as top babyface.
Reigns is a good worker and genuinely likeable human being, but it remains to be seen if fans would accept him as top dog again. This match with Goldberg has the potential to be a nightmare scenario for those who hated Roman as lead baby last time.
