10 Things WWE Super ShowDown 2020 Told Us About WrestleMania 36

3. Vince McMahon Didn't Fancy The 'Fiend'

Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' became hot property last summer. Fans, who have always coveted Bray even when WWE hasn't, were willing to forget past booking transgressions and get behind the idea that he was a modern-day version of The Undertaker, Kane, Papa Shango, Mankind and every other supernatural monster rolled into one.

Somewhere along the way, Vince McMahon lost faith in it.

The mega-push he gave Wyatt towards that Universal Title last year was halted by a WCW relic coming off the bench for what seemed like a well-paid job to the 'Fiend' in Saudi Arabia. Goldberg, who appeals to older, casual viewers but is hardly any "smart" fan's wet dream in 2020, was the one to beat Bray, not Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan or even Roman Reigns.

Now, Wyatt finds himself back in a familiar position. He'll struggle to get onto the WrestleMania card at all unless WWE have some sort of backup plan for him. Worse, the way he stood defiantly behind Goldberg at Super ShowDown but didn't attack hints at a rematch before 'Mania.
