10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Alberto Del Rio

9. That "Si Si Si" Chant Was Stolen From Daniel Bryan's "Yes" Chant

When Del Rio went babyface he had to change his wrestling style completely. He went from a guy that totally ignored the fans all the time to somebody that had to engage with them all of a sudden. It wasn't an easy transition for him (more on that later), so either he felt the need to steal from another incredibly popular babyface, or it was suggested to him by his superiors. As a way to play to the crowd, Del Rio would lead them in "Si! Si! Si!" chants. Si, of course, means 'yes' in Spanish. Basically, he was just aping the Daniel Bryan 'Yes!' chant. It really wasn't that creative or imaginative. Most of the time he would do it right before he would apply his Cross Armbreaker submission finisher. It's a bit naughty and wrong to be stealing somebody else's gimmick like that. What was weird is that he would even do it as a heel while nobody chanted along with it, which was sad to watch. For what it's worth, Bryan got the 'Yes!' chant from UFC's Diego Sancez, but at least they weren't co-workers.
