10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Brock Lesnar

5. There Were Several Losses In UFC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uufclkwGDhI Whenever WWE mentions Lesnar's UFC career they are quick to point out that he was a UFC Heavyweight Champion, but they're also reluctant to mention the times when he lost there. His MMA record was 5-3 and 4-3 in the UFC. He lost his first UFC fight to Frank Mir, then beat Heath Herring in his second UFC fight. His third UFC fight was a shot at the World Heavyweight Title. You think any other male fighter would get a title shot in their third UFC fight? No. Lesnar did and he beat the legend Randy Couture. Lesnar had two successful title defenses against Frank Mir (avenging his loss) and against Shane Carwin, which was impressive because he won by submission instead of knockout. Since Lesnar was the top draw in the company, they wanted him to fight again so three months after that Carwin win he defended against Cain Velasquez and lost. He got knocked out. It wasn't pretty. His next fight, which was his last in UFC, took place over a year later in December 2011. Health issues really set him back and he looked overwhelmed as he got destroyed by Alistair Overeem. A little over three months later, he was back home in WWE. It makes sense that WWE wouldn't want to mention the losses in his UFC career, but they also make it seem like he never lost. His 4-3 record wasn't that impressive although he deserves a lot of credit for adapting to the sport quickly and becoming a champion before he lost his interest in it.
