10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Brock Lesnar

3. He Pushed One Legged Zach Gowen Down A Flight Of Stairs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Bvw6paHK3A "This is a special wheelchair, Vince. This is a very fast wheelchair. It's jet powered! It's got after burners and everything, Vince!" - Brock Lesnar losing his mind as the evil tormenter. There was a lot of silliness on Smackdown in 2003. Even though they had some incredible in-ring performers at the time like Angle, Guerrero and Lesnar, they found a way to do some ridiculous angles too. In addition to the awful Mr. America story with Hulk Hogan, they also brought in a one legged wrestler named Zach Gowen. What was he there for? To get his ass kicked by the heels of course. Lesnar became a heel aligned with evil WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. He was great as a bully while McMahon used his powers to his advantage, so the pair was entertaining. On the September 4, 2003 edition of Smackdown, Lesnar tormented Gowen. He had him in a wheelchair with a brace in place of his missing right leg and even had his mouth covered up. After Lesnar told McMahon that he's the one that brought the monster out in him, things escalated further. Lesnar took Gowen over the stairwell, he told him that the wheelchair was magical because it flies. It was a sign of Lesnar losing his mind, but also turning him into more of an entertaining heel character. Lesnar choked Gowen out and then he shoved him down the flight of stairs. They filmed it from the top of the stairs, so you could see the body going down there in the wheelchair. Lesnar laughed like a proud villain that was happy with the work he did.
