10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Christian

8. The Forgotten TLC Match On Smackdown

http://youtu.be/3_BEUCYVaPQ When WWE talks about the history of tag team TLC matches they start with the first one at SummerSlam 2000. Edge & Christian won that one. The next one up was at WrestleMania 17 in 2001, which Edge & Christian also won. The third and forgotten TLC match aired on the May 24, 2001 edition of Smackdown taped two days earlier in Anaheim. The new tag team champions were the babyface duo of Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. Since evil heel Vince McMahon wasn't happy about the Canadian Chris' as the champions, he put them in a TLC match with the three teams that were in the other two TLC matches: Edge & Christian, The Dudley Boys and The Hardy Boys. It was a great match even with eight men involved. The winners were Benoit & Jericho as they proved they could hang with the best tag teams of that era and win a match that they had never been in before. Even though it's a great match, it's something WWE wants you to forget and you won't see it on any compilation DVDs or anything like that. Why? Because Chris Benoit was involved. That's why.
