9. Trish Stratus As His Love Interest

After he saved her from an attack from Victoria and Stevie Richards, we saw more of Jeff with Trish. They really didn't get too far with the storyline although there were times when they were shown backstage or in the ring where they would share a kiss. It seemed like it was the start of some long term angle for them, but it never went anywhere. The reason it ended without ever really being discussed is because Hardy got fired by WWE in April 2003. Even though WWE liked Hardy and probably had high hopes for him, they really couldn't trust him anymore. The angle with Hardy didn't work out, but WWE must have really wanted Trish in a love story angle because later in the year she was part of a triangle story with Chris Jericho and Christian. By the time Hardy returned to WWE three years later, Trish was on her way out and they were not paired together on screen.
