5. 'Embrace The Hate' Against John Cena And Zack Ryder
Quite possible the worst feud of 2012, John Cena had to do something in the months leading up to his dream match with The Rock at WrestleMania 28 and so he was placed into a pointless feud with Kane, which wrestling fans have come to affectionately label as the 'Embrace the Hate' feud. The idea behind the feud was that the evil Kane was encouraging John to embrace his inner demon, so to speak, by becoming an edgier, rule-breaking type of guy. People yearning for a Cena heel turn thought this might be the moment, but that's obviously not what happened. The long-suffering Zack Ryder was a part of this storyline as the hapless babyface that thought Cena was his friend. All he did was get his a** kicked in the feud. Yet the worst part of the feud (or maybe the best in terms of how bad it was) was when Kane shoved a wheelchair bound Ryder off the stage. Zack got a push, just not the one he was hoping for. Cena was able to get the big win over Kane at Elimination Chamber, but what about Ryder? He never recovered from this. His career was basically over and he never got the big win from Kane that he should have (then he was jobbed out and kicked in the balls by Eve Torres at 'Mania). While they probably had a goal in mind for this feud, whatever it was really wasn't accomplished. Embrace the hate? More like embrace the stupidity.
