Here's an explanation of what May 19th was in Kane's own words.
"May 19th. That was the date that my mother and adopted family were killed in a fire. And I've fought my whole life to supress those memories, those demons."
Then he spoke about how he killed a bunch of people in his new movie See No Evil, which happened to come out on May 19th 2006. What was so silly about it is that Kane was tormented by the mere mention of the date. There was even a scene backstage where Kane was walking in a hallway and he heard his own voice talking about May 19th. So apparently the TV show has the powers to hear voices in Kane's head? Okay then. Kane would snap to the point that he would hurt people he considered friends, like his Tag Team Championship partner The Big Show. In a lot of ways, the May 19 storyline is memorable because it made people remember when the See No Evil movie came out and every year on May 19, wrestling fans always think about it. Although, more often than not, they're mocking the absurdity of it all.
