9. He Married Elizabeth In 1984 Not SummerSlam 1991

Randy Savage was managed by his Miss Elizabeth for most of his WWE career. She was with him going back to 1985. They had met when he was wrestling in Kentucky prior to signing with WWE and ended up marrying her in 1984. If you only watch WWE programming and don't know about the behind the scenes stuff then you might think that his wedding with Elizabeth at SummerSlam 1991 was legit. They made it a big deal by having Randy propose to her on WWE TV. The main event of SummerSlam 1991 was the wedding. They did the wedding angle after Savage lost a retirement match to the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 7 (Randy was the heel), so the wedding was used to make him a babyface. How can you boo a guy marrying the love of his life like that? It was a great story. Even though a lot of fans probably think the SummerSlam 1991 marriage was legit, it was really just for storylines and the couple was already married prior to that.
