8. He Was Banned From Raw, "The Summerfest" And Fired
The summer of 2009 featured a lot of awful storylines especially on the Raw brand. It didn't help that they seemed to care more about the guest hosts than the actual wrestlers either. When Jeremy Piven and Ken Jeong hosted Raw on August 3, 2009 they had a disastrous segment with John Cena and The Miz. It set up a Cena/Miz match, which Cena won like he usually did when he faced The Miz especially in 2009. Nobody can forget that Piven uttered a line about "The Summerfest" instead of saying SummerSlam. It's been five years and people are still making jokes about Piven botching that one. Since The Miz lost the match, he was banned from the Staples Center, fired from Raw and banned from SummerSlam. That didn't last long because one week later, The Miz competed as "The Calgary Kid" (he's from Cleveland) to beat Eugene of all people in a match to earn a WWE contract. When he unmasked, it was The Miz and he debuted his catchphrase about being awesome. He was also storyline fired in 2011 as part of a storyline with R-Truth. Neither storyline is something that WWE likes to bring up, so both would qualify as something that WWE wants us to forget.
