10. His Only WWE Title Reign Lasted Under Two Hours

It was July 25, 2011 when Mysterio won his first and only WWE Championship. He had already been a World Heavyweight Champion by that point in his career and we didn't expect him to win it again. The reason he won is because CM Punk left WWE one week earlier (in storyline) and they wanted to crown a new WWE Champion. Mysterio ended up making the finals of an eight man tournament. He beat Miz to become WWE Champ in the first match on that July 25, 2011 edition of Raw. Shortly after his victory, it was announced that he would face the former WWE Champ John Cena later in the show. Uh oh. That was it for Mysterio as champion because of course Cena won clean in the main event of Raw. The title reign, if you want to call it that, by Mysterio was pointless. They shouldn't have even done a tournament since they knew CM Punk was going to be back (he only missed one episode of Raw) and it hurt Mysterio to have Cena beat him so easily. When WWE brags about Mysterio being a WWE Champ, just remember that they do so without mentioning how brief of a title reign he actually had.
