10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Scott Hall
6. He Was Kept Off WrestleMania 12 Due To Drug Suspension
Even though Hall was still under WWE contract during WrestleMania 12 in 1996, he was left off the card. He was reportedly suspended for drug use. If you recall the build up to the show, there was no indication that Roddy Piper was going to be wresting Goldust, but once Hall got suspended they put Piper in his place. It was one of those things that, at the time, we had no idea what was going on because Hall was a featured performer in WWE during that time who was even on posters for WrestleMania that year. For him to be completely left off WrestleMania was a surprise to a lot of people. While there is no indication of what the match finish would have been, it likely would have seen the heel Goldust getting the win because Hall was set to leave the company. Instead, we saw that "Hollywood Backlot Brawl" that Goldust had with Piper that ended without a pinfall, but we got that very forgettable image of Goldust in women's lingerie. Perhaps we should blame Hall for that one. Hall returned to WWE to work the April 1996 In Your House event where he lost to Vader in what was one of his final losses before he jumped to WCW one month later.
