10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Scott Hall

4. He Murdered Somebody In 1983

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NE7nqsESwIM A few years ago, Hall was the subject of an ESPN special that looked at his life and how far he had fallen due to his alcohol abuse. During the story, Hall revealed a dark secret that a lot of people didn't know. When he was 25 years old in 1983 he was bartending in Florida at a strip club when he got into an argument. He explained that it was over a girl, which probably isn't a surprise because as many of us know those things can happen especially in a bar. He told the story of a guy smashing the windshield on his car because of this girl. When somebody pointed out where he went, Hall went after the guy and he punched him. The guy pulled out a gun, so Hall wrestled around with him for it and he shot him in the head, which killed him. Hall was charged with 2nd degree murder, but the case was dismissed because the evidence against him was deemed insufficient. While it appears like it was a case of self defense, it still resulted in a man dying. About a year after the incident, Hall started wrestling and the rest is history. It was not a highlight of his career and it's not something that WWE wanted fans to know about when they were honoring him in the Hall of Fame.
