10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Undertaker

10. That He Killed His Parents In A Fire

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e50iYwAOu1M One of the biggest stories in WWE in 1997 involved the Undertaker and the debut of his younger brother Kane. Undertaker's former friend Paul Bearer turned on him with Bearer promising to bring back Kane as a way to torment Undertaker. That led to a lot of backstory into the characters of Undertaker, Bearer and Kane. In the summer of 1997, Undertaker talked about how he was playing with his matches one day with his brother Kane. His Dad told them to stop, but they didn't know. He said he was the oldest that should have known better. One day his brother Kane kept playing with the matches and the funeral home ended up burning down with Undertaker's parents trapped in it. Undertaker thought that his brother Kane had died in the fire too, but that obviously wasn't the case. It was the kind of over the top story that led to Undertaker being humanized because he wasn't as dark or as silent as he was before. He was more of a regular guy who just happened to grow up working in a funeral home.
