10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About 2021

4. Bianca Belair Got Squashed

Bianca Belair was a WWE MVP between Royal Rumble-WrestleMania. Creative did wobble slightly following the Rumble win, admittedly, but only because the writers realised that sh*te, they had a few months of killing time to do before she headlined 'Mania in Tampa.

Fans could tolerate that if the big moments were worth it, and they were. Belair looked every bit the star as she toppled Sasha Banks on WWE's biggest stage. Sadly, things fell off a cliff after that. Following up on 'Mania was a challenge nobody met; Bianca suddenly became a weak-chinned sort of babyface who looked out of her depth.

Then, Becky Lynch squashed her at SummerSlam in 26 seconds.

A mega-push for the first half of the year should've pocketed Belair a more respectable finish as SmackDown Women's Champion, but it didn't. She was shunted aside so Becks could return and then hand the belt off to Charlotte Flair in exchange for the red version.
