10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About AJ Styles

1. His Questionable Comments Outside WWE

Above all else, WWE will want to sweep several of AJ's comments about the homosexual community under a nearby rug and forget they ever happened.

Before joining the promotion, AJ regretfully used the word 'f*ggot' in promos. Above is a clip from a 2015 indy event, and it shows Styles cutting a post-match promo which includes the slur. Some comments on the video do defend AJ's words by pointing out he's playing heel and being provocative, but there is a line in today's entertainment world.

Styles' outspoken nature has caused problems during media conference calls and interviews in the past as well. His personal thoughts on the gay community would never be tolerated in the corporate structure of a company like WWE, and nor should they.

Heel or not, that's a no-go area in 2018.
