6. Black Was Pointlessly Drafted Three Times

Things seemed so damn promising when Aleister Black, along with tag partner Ricochet, was called up to the "main roster" in early-2019. It felt like a massive compliment to both that they were being featured so heavily as a team during WrestleMania 35 season, and everyone just knew they'd find success.

Or, in the case of Black, get batted back and forth like a tennis ball.

Aleister's first leap from NXT to Raw in February 2019 made sense, and there wasn't much concern when WWE then decided to draft him over to SmackDown two months later in April. That, as his biggest fans explained, was the right place for Black. So much for that, because he was back on Raw by October following a dismal spell bathed in blue.

More mediocrity followed before WWE again thought Aleister needed a change of scenery. Black was drafted back over to SmackDown in October 2020, and that'd wind up being his final destination before being released this past June.
