10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Billy Gunn

8. Mr. Ass & Questionable Ring Attire

It might be the gimmick that he's best-known for, but the whole 'Mr. Ass' thing is entirely regrettable. The nickname/gimmick actually came about completely by accident, after Road Dogg ad-libbed in a that everyone would soon be calling him 'Mr. Dogg' and Billy 'Mr. Ass'. The next night at the arena there were lots and 'Mr. Ass' signs and Gunn knew that something was going to happen with it. It's similar to the way in which Mr. Socko was created - back in the Attitude Era, you were allowed to be spontaneous and just go with the flow. So Gunn was renamed 'Mr. Ass' instead of 'Badass' and began mooning the crowd and his opponents. That's not very PG now, is it? It was also around this time that he began to wear some very questionable outfits to the ring, including a pair of mesh see-through shorts that showed his thong and tights with the buttocks cut out. When Gunn began working as Cute Kip alongside the Beautiful People in TNA, he wore some attire that looked directly inspired by his former manager Torrie Wilson.
