10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Billy Gunn

5. Triple H Used His Athletic Asthma To Hold Him Back

A common criticism of Gunn during his WW tenure was that he 'blew up', that is to say get out of breath, very quickly. Obviously this isn't good because when you're out of breath and tired it really effects your performance. It's something fans can easily pick up on it, too. Gunn had a good reason for being a little winded sometimes, however, as he had been diagnosed with medical asthma. Billy needed to use an inhaler on occasions to help him breathe. Apparently everyone in the back was aware of this and Gunn would go all out in the ring despite it. Still, his condition did lead to at least one incident where Triple H allegedly buried Gunn to a road agent after a match they had, claiming that The One wasn't in good enough shape to work on top. The former Rockabilly revealed this during a 2005 RF Video shoot interview. Gunn found his push fading after the incident and was back to being used in go-nowhere tag teams.
