10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Booker T

8. TNA Rekindled His Headline Status

Before Booker left WWE in 2007, his career was already taking a slight downward turn. He was used to facilitate Triple H's return from injury at SummerSlam, was pretty much squashed by "The Game" and had been cycled out of the World Title picture on SmackDown after being drafted to Raw.

TNA, probably much to WWE's chagrin, offered Booker another chance as a headline star.

Immediately, he was treated like a big deal after debuting at the promotion's Genesis pay-per-view to partner Sting against Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash. Later, Booker would become part of the Main Event Mafia group, and he looked to be enjoying his run. Working with friends and helping TNA's youth, like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles, was a great role for Booker.

There's a chance WWE may someday show some footage from Booker's TNA run (like they did during the recent 24 special on The Hardy Boyz), but they're unlikely to acknowledge the fact that Impact gave Booker a second wind.
