10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Braun Strowman

1. His Dreadful Universal Title Reign

Some wrestlers don't really need titles, and Strowman is one of them. He's a unique enough act on his own, and every championship reign the guy has had ultimately floundered. Granted, it's not his fault that Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg at 'Mania 36 was scrapped, and he was hardly going to sniff when WWE stuck him in as a replacement.

Braun's Universal Title win and run as champ was bad though.

Stuck for ideas, the company had The Miz and John Morrison try to slime Braun during backstage promos. When that didn't work, the team decided to smash up his rental car instead. This comedic side quest dominated SmackDown's summer, and it sucked balls.

A loss to Bray Wyatt at SummerSlam was mercifully followed by the return of Roman Reigns. His serious, no-frills presentation showed the way, but it also showed up how rotten WWE's booking of Braun had been since 'Mania.
