10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Braun Strowman

6. His Saturday Night Live Saga

One year on from teaming with a ref's kid to become Raw Tag Champs, Braun targeted Saturday Night Live hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che at 'Mania 35. Predictably, this Z-list celebrity crossover bid flopped harder than a 25-minute Reginald vs. Tamina match might.

In fact, seeing SmackDown's sommelier do flips might be preferable.

Che and Jost played the role of celebs who looked down their noses at some aspects of pro wrestling. Then, that flipped, and they were suddenly super-fans who couldn't wait to be involved in the upcoming André The Giant Memorial Battle Royal (because everybody knows that's the spot you want at WrestleMania).

Meanwhile, Strowman was cast as some great protector of WWE's credibility. He bullied and tortured the SNL pair until eventually tossing them over the top at MetLife Stadium and taking home the trophy. Again, much like most of Braun's 'Mania gigs, this felt unfulfilling and like a complete waste of everybody's time.
