Bill Goldberg pocketed a lot of money from his pro wrestling days. Paid big bucks for his main event run in World Championship Wrestling, it's also easy to imagine that he was financially compensated to a high level for his 12 month stay in WWE later. Sitting at home, Goldberg also collected millions after WCW had gone to the wall, due to a guaranteed contract with AOL/Time Warner.

Since departing wrestling, he has appeared in numerous movies and television shows. Further to that, the man also receives money for hosting a popular podcast series, 'Who's Next!?'. At this point in proceedings, he really doesn't need WWE. Several wrestlers from bygone eras aren't in the same position, meaning they have to continually hope that Vince McMahon gives them a gig.

Goldberg doesn't need that help, and he has been naturally coy when asked in interviews about potential WWE returns. Financially set, the man seems to take the questions in a light-hearted manner, knowing that he doesn't need to rely on anyone else to pay his bills. Therefore, the ball is firmly in Goldberg's court. Now that Goldberg is coming back for this run, you have to know it'll be on his terms and nobody else's.
