10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Hell In A Cell

6. Triple H vs Kevin Nash

Triple H vs Kevin Nash is a matchup with notorious connotations. The 'Summer of Punk' angle seemed almost impossible to screw up, yet somehow WWE managed to get from CM Punk taking on John Cena (and, by extension, the status quo of the entire company) to Triple H vs Kevin Nash at TLC 2011. Four years later, it remains shorthand for an exciting angle bombed out by terrible booking. Not only did Triple H vs Kevin Nash leave its stain on the most promising angle of the decade - it left its stain on the Hell in a Cell stipulation as well, almost a decade earlier. Nash was carrying a pair of blown knees, and the Game was at his most immobile, having packed on unnecessary amounts of muscle since returning from injury in 2002. Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio it was not. This match came across as nothing more than two big, strong dudes attempting to prove how big and strong they are - which I strongly suspect is all it was. Foley made a welcome cameo as the special guest referee, but even he couldn't save the show, eating huge chairshot from Triple H before making the pinfall for him anyway.
