Of all the shambolic angles involving Hornswoggle, the worst by far was the tale of Vince McMahon's illegitimate son. The plan was originally to have Mr. Kennedy revealed as Vince's heir - leading to a major main event push - but the young superstar failed a drugs test and was quickly shuffled out of the storyline. After teasing a Triple H reveal (which would have raised a number of uncomfortable questions regarding Stephanie), Hornswoggle was brought out instead. The entire angle took a baffling comedic turn, which included such "hilarious" skits as Hornswoggle biting Vince's backside instead of joining the kiss-my-ass club. The pair also showed off their best JR impersonations. This segment went down particularly badly, as they seemed to explicitly mock Ross' Bell's palsy. Eventually - mercifully - somebody realised that the whole thing needed to come to an end, and Finlay was quickly shoehorned in as Hornswoggle's "real" father. The whole notion of Vince having an illegitimate son was never mentioned again, and Hornswoggle was shuffled away to the ECW brand.
