This was a recent story Kofi Kingston told on Edge and Christian's podcast shortly after Elimination Chamber.

At No Way Out 2009, Kofi was poised to be part of the show-closing World Heavyweight Title Chamber bout alongside Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, John Cena, Mike Knox and Kane. His excitement had been building for weeks over the chance to do some cool sh*t inside such a unique structure, but it wasn't to be.

When he arrived at the building, staff told Kingston he'd be attacked by Edge during his entrance and pulled from the match. He said on the pod that he couldn't hide his disappointment over this; a big chance had slipped past, and Edge would be taking his place instead. What a bummer.

In early-2009, Kingston wasn't quite the WWE stalwart he is now, and WWE can't really be blamed for trying something so provocative and interesting. Still, this sucked hard for Kofi, and it's a decision Edge feels guilty about to this day.
