10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Kofi Kingston

8. Kofi's Tag-Team Success With CM Punk

"Look! There's The New Day's Kofi Kingston holding WWE's Tag-Team Titles with UFC wannabe CM Punk", said no WWE publication/website/press release/article ever.

WWE.com has a photo gallery looking back at Kingston's 10-year career in the organisation. Will you see Punk anywhere there? Will you hell. Evan Bourne is there, and there are snaps of Kofi with other tag partners like R-Truth elsewhere on .com, but there's next-to-no-sign of Kofi's popular team with Punk.

Perhaps this isn't surprising given Punk's angry departure from the company and his outspoken nature in the years since. WWE blatantly do not want to put any shine onto the 'Straight Edge Saviour' or his run, even if that means sacrificing accuracy in a photo book looking at someone else.

Kofi and Punk held the old World Tag belts for 47 days in late-2008. They beat Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in October before dropping them to John Morrison and The Miz on a December house show.
