10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Kofi Kingston

There's a solid chance Kofi will be able to drop down to bids for the United States or Intercontinental Titles after his flirtation with Daniel Bryan and the WWE Championship are over. It wouldn't be the first time WWE have tried to make Kingston a viable singles champ. The big difference in 2019 is that the idea might work.

It didn't before.

Now now, don't look at us like that. We're not saying Kofi was a poor choice as IC or US titleholder before, far from it. No, he could have been a great champion, but the fact is that his four reigns with the Intercontinental and three with the United States were about as memorable as his ECW stint.

In total, Kingston held the IC belt for 266 days and the US one for 209 days. Impressive, huh? Maybe if any of his title defences or wins during that time were historically significant. They would've been to Kofi personally, but they (unfortunately) took place in a period when both secondary titles were thrown around from wrestler to wrestler.
