10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Lilian Garcia
5. Triple H Belittled Her Appearance On Camera
With many WWE performers and staff stranded in Europe due to a volcanic eruption, Lilian Garcia was called upon to fill in for Justin Roberts on the April 19, 2010 Monday Night Raw broadcast. The show was a strange one, because it didn't feature many top names and WWE only had a limited number of stars to rely upon to pad out the event. Almost instantly, the company showed their gratitude to Garcia for helping them out of a hole by making fun of her appearance. No sooner had Triple H arrived on the scene than he was cracking jokes about Lilian's looks, claiming that she was "horsing around". Reportedly, this was a direct jab at her facial features, thought to look very horse-like by some backstage. As if that wasn't enough, Jerry Lawler made horse noises on commentary to hammer home the jibe. Not seeing the funny side, Mick Foley posted about the situation and said he thought it was both "shallow' and "mean" to treat Lilian Garcia that way. It did come across as quite unnecessary, but to her credit Garcia didn't sell what was said. She kept a smile on her face throughout, and it's really WWE who should want fans to forget this one.
