On December 4, 2017, out of nowhere, Jax approached cruiserweight champion Enzo Amore, beaming with a smile and a suggestive vibe, and hit him with his catchphrase "How you doin'?" She walked off, leaving Enzo and the WWE Universe stunned in silence.

For the next month, Amore had more backstage run-ins with Jax. All of their encounters were flirtatious, progressing week by week from googly eyes to sliding into each other's DMs, having an awkward moment under the mistletoe around Christmas that Alexa Bliss broke up before they could kiss and eventually...just ending with a fizzle.

Amore was released from WWE before this had any conclusion or even truly got started beyond the clumsy flirting stage, but according to Enzo on the Store Horseman podcast, Enzo would have used The Irresistible Force to help him win matches, all the while having an affair behind her back with Bliss. WWE pivoted and turned this into the body-shaming angle in a different way, but seemingly had it planned all along to use The Certified G and Bona Fide Stud as the catalyst to drive tension between the friends.

Needless to say, this hasn't gone down in history as one of Jax's career highlights, but just another entry in the painfully long list of strange romantic pairings of colorful characters WWE seems to love doing no matter what era the company is in.
