10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Roman Reigns
5. His Father Wasn't Told He'd Lose At WrestleMania 31
This incident is one WWE would like everyone to forget, not because it damages Reigns' public image, but their own - yet another tale that paints the company in a particularly heartless light. Seth Rollins' shocking victory at WrestleMania 31 wasn't planned months in advance. It was actually made far closer to showtime, so close, in fact, that Roman's own family weren't notified of the decision. That family being the legendary Anoa'i wrestling family, of course. Sika, Reigns' father, was reportedly infuriated by the finish, but was ultimately calmed down by fellow Anoa'i family members in attendance. Seeing the rug pulled out from under his son's feat, in front of the entire world, without any prior notice - that can't have been easy to stomach. WWE could have at least given him a quick heads-up.
