Before SummerSlam 2018, no female star on WWE's books could claim to be more popular or newsworthy than Ronda Rousey. Then, Becky Lynch ditched her sidekick gig, battered Charlotte Flair and evolved into 'The Man'. Suddenly, Rousey had competition, and it was about damn time.

Lynch's popularity changed everything for Ronda. Almost overnight, she went from being the beloved to second-best in the eyes of the fans. Becky stole her crown, and she continues to be a headline-making riot every week on television. Consequently, Rousey's babyface reactions have dried up.

People prefer Becky's brand of martyrdom and spirit instead.

WWE may not want to admit to such, but they've been powerless to stop this. The boos Rousey hears haven't come because of any crafty booking, but only due to Becky's rise to prominence. If they were honest, the writers would concede they never meant for Ronda to get jeered.
