10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Rusev

9. Summer Rae's Proposal

WWE would ideally love you to forget about Rusev's first four-way romance angle as a whole. It was the kind of soapy garbage that should've been left behind in the '90s, and it succeded only in hindering the participants and their respective careers.

Lana's relationship with Dolph Ziggler was bad enough, but as far as the feud's individual components go, nothing was goofier than Summer Rae proposing to Rusev.

Summer first formed an alliance with 'The Bulgarian Brute' soon after Ziggler entered the scene. She tried to sabotage Dolph and Lana's relationship by revealing Ziggler's attempts to seduce her, and eventually became so infatuated with Rusev that by October, she dropped to one knee, pulled out a ring, and proposed to the big man.

Rusev declined, stating that he wouldn't marry her until he won another championship, which is a pretty bizarre reason to say "no." Either way, the angle was abandoned when Summer broke up with Rusev the following week.

'The Bulgarian Brute' and 'The Ravishing Russian' eventually got back together, and the whole Summer Rae/Dolph Ziggler farce was rightly swept under the rug.
