Seth Rollins has achieved a heck of a lot since ascending to the WWE main roster in late 2012, but he came ever so close to not making it at all. Rollins was signed back in 2010, and those two years spent in WWE developmental were a struggle for the man. He was an independent star signed off the back of incredible matches against some of the best wrestlers in the world, now he has to put Lucky Cannon over in developmental?

Rollins had a huge chip on his shoulder as a result, claiming that he knew what was right for him and his ability and changing that in any way would be akin to selling out. Setting aside the ridiculousness of the notion of 'selling out' for a moment, Rollins came perilously close to being cut as a result of his poor attitude and unwillingness to learn.

WWE developmental lizard overlord Triple H came to his rescue however, saving Rollins from enjoying his future endeavours.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
