10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Seth Rollins

4. Bret Hart Hurt His Feelings

Seth Rollins hasn't got a great track record in recent years when it comes to ensuring the safety of his opponents. His buckle bomb move led to serious injuries for Sting (more on that shortly) and Finn Balor, and he was also responsible for rearranging John Cena's face on an episode of RAW back in 2015. That may have brought about some great t-shirts, but worker safety must come first.

Bret Hart weighed in in his own inimitable salty veteran sort of way, stating that Rollins was 'reckless' and 'unprofessional', and that if 'someone had kneed me in the face like that I would have met them in the back with a baseball bat'. Yikes.

Rollins spoke about Hart's comments on an episode of Talk is Jericho, and after laying a small amount of blame on John Cena for the broken nose (referring to Cena as 'clumsy') Rollins admitted that Hart's words hurt his feelings more than anything. Rollins had looked up to Hart as a child, so hearing his hero call him 'unprofessional' was a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Although a metaphorical kick in the teeth is still preferably to a literal knee in the nose.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
