1. His 2012 Royal Rumble Win Was Originally Intended For Chris Jericho
Sheamus has won the WWE Title two times (both times were pretty flukey) and the World Title once. His other biggest accomplishment was winning the Royal Rumble match in 2012. This was around the time when he was being built up as a huge babyface on the Smackdown brand. It was almost as if he was the John Cena of that show since it was rare for him to look weak or lose a match of any kind. He went into the 2012 Rumble as a favorite, but not the favorite. That was Chris Jericho. At the time of the match, most people figured Jericho was a lock to win. He had just come back, he was on fire and it was pretty much known that he would have a WWE Title feud with CM Punk. Plus, Jericho had done everything in the business except win a Rumble, so it made sense. Word leaked on the internet with reports out about how it was a lock that Jericho was going to win. It came down to Sheamus and Jericho as the final two with Sheamus winning an exciting final battle sequence. Days later it was reported that the finish was changed due to people leaking the result online. In the end, the winner really didn't matter because both guys got title shots at WrestleMania 28 anyway. Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds and Jericho losing a high profile WWE Title match against CM Punk. It's funny how the people watching at home probably have no idea what was really supposed to happen. That's the WWE and their mindset of doing things to surprise people instead of doing what makes more sense.
