4. He Was Going Turn Heel And Wrestle Daniel Bryan At WrestleMania 30
This is one of those things that is pretty well known among online fans, but the average WWE television viewer really has no idea. Daniel Bryan wasn't originally scheduled to win the WWE Title at WrestleMania 30. It was supposed to be Batista. Bryan was supposed to face Sheamus while CM Punk would face Triple H. During an interview with Newsday last month to promote the Royal Rumble, Bryan confirmed the story: "I can tell you 100 percent for a fact that I was not supposed to be in the main event at WrestleMania 30." He said that he would have faced Sheamus in the 5th or 6th biggest match on the show. "That is one of the coolest things about WWE and wrestling in general. The fans have this very unique voice, and this very unique power, and in no other sport and no other form of entertainment can the fans make their voices heard and it affect change." Why the change? Thank CM Punk for that. Due to Punk quitting WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble, they had to change plans. Sheamus' heel turn was held off while Bryan moved into Punk's spot against Triple H and then Bryan was also put in to the WM30 main event due to overwhelming crowd support. Sheamus ended up having a very minor role in the show as a participant in the Andre the Giant battle royal, which he did not win. That was a year ago when people when he was supposed to turn heel. It didn't happen in 2014 at all, but it wouldn't be a surprise if it happened this year.
