10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Godfather
7. Lita And Victoria Started WWE Careers As Godfather's Hos
In the days before Performance Center tryouts, WWE would often have prospective talents perform bit parts on their TV shows. They could be anything from being a security guard, to a 'fan' asking a superstar for an autograph, or if you were a wannabe women's wrestlers in the late 90s/early 2000s, one of The Godfather's hos. Yes, that's right, three future WWE Women's Champions (and one future Hall of Famer) got their 'big break' by portraying a prostitute. Such was the Attitude Era... Lita was a 'ho' on numerous occasions in the summer of '99, in the days before the flame-red hair and hurricanaras. It really is something to see Lita, who rose to fame playing the tomboyish member of Team Extreme just a year later, walking uneasily to the ring and dancing all the while rocking a pair of skin-tight booty shorts and knee-high boots. 'Uniquely attired', as Jim Ross called it. Lita revealed in her autobiography that she was paid $250 for it. Victoria was also tasked with playing a ho, although she was no run-of-the-mill ho, oh no - Victoria (along with Mandy, on the left there) were two of the Godfather's main hos, frequently leading the ho train to ringside. When The Godfather turned heel, the two ladies of the night began a 'Save the Hos' campaign and teamed up with Rikishi and Too Cool to try to take down the Right to Censor. What did Victoria get for it? A gnarly-looking powerbomb through a table by her former Pimp Daddy, that's what. Victoria hung around in storylines as a (former?) ho for a little longer, as she and Mandy had a little shower time with Eddie Guerrero, causing Latino Heat and Chyna to call off their engagement. Adding to the 'famous hos' list, former WWE diva Ivory also worked as a ho before going full-time with the company. It's like the non-PC version of Rosebud.
