10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Godfather

3. Kama

After some time away from the federation, Wright returned as Kama. What was Kama, you ask? I'm not entirely sure, but I think he was supposed to be a cross between Mr. T and an ultimate fighter. Billed as the 'Supreme Fighting Machine', Kama debuted in the autumn of 1994 and joined Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation soon after. Kama was tasked with taking down The Undertaker, whom the Million Dollar men were feuding with at the time. Amazingly, Kama got some PPV matches with his real-life friend, and even had the honour or doing the honour for The Deadman in a Casket Match at SummerSlam 1995. The match was OK, but that's all Kama's matches were, at best - it didn't look like he knew what the gimmick was supposed to be, since UFC was still in its infancy and we were years away from the arrival of Ken Shamrock and Kurt Angle, and just kind of did...something. Had Kama arrived on our screens a little later, it might have been a different story and it may have even been a success. Doubtful, but it might have been. Kama was another pre-Godfather gaffe for Charles Wright, and he dropped the gimmick and left the company following a quick appearance in the 1996 Royal Rumble. Hardly anyone actually remembers Kama. WWE will not talk about Kama. Charles Wright has probably forgotten about Kama. Who was Kama? Moving on...
