10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Miz

2. The Daniel Bryan Feud Had No Pay Off

That vitriolic rant from The Miz on Talking Smack was tremendous, wasn't it? In the summer of 2016, you'd be forgiven for believing WWE were building up to a future match between the braggart heel and his passionate, well-meaning SmackDown GM. It's just a shame then that Daniel Bryan's injuries meant WWE won't let him wrestle.

In other words, the feud had no hope in hell of ending with a big blow-off win for the beloved babyface. Bryan was forced to sit there and repeatedly admit he didn't like The Miz, but he wasn't cleared to compete so couldn't really do anything about it other than use his on-screen power to annoy the heel. That's hardly satisfying.

When Miz was drafted to Raw during the Superstar Shake Up, his issues with Bryan (a major part of SmackDown's appeal for close to a full year) were dropped cold. Instead of a sweet pay-off to a hot angle, fans were left with the realisation that the story was ultimately meaningless.
