2. "This Isn't Just My Character Saying This..."

The most recent incident on this list, and yet another centred on Kofi Kingston - who, despite spending most of his career as a babyface, really doesn't seem too good at keeping himself out of trouble. This controversial remark occurred on the November 23rd edition of Raw, as part of the New Day's one year anniversary celebration. While ripping on the Nashville, Tennessee crowd for their perceived love of country music, Kofi decided to take things a little too far. Presumably very passionate in his hatred of the genre, Kingston stated "this isn't just my character saying this; I really hate country music" - a very jarring break of the fourth wall. Kingston doesn't seem to have suffered any ramifications for the remark - the New Day's shtick is still as intrinsic a part of the show as ever - but it's hard not to imagine a few heads in hands backstage when he decided to go off script.
