10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Undertaker
4. His Marriage To Sara
Diamond Dallas Page would like to forget this one too.
Everyone wants to fall in love and be happy and all that, but for some reason, love and snuggling just doesn’t seem to fit the character of an undead zombie. Yet somehow, The Undertaker did find his soulmate, and for some reason, WWE thought they should make their relationship part of a storyline.
Now at the time, Taker was having a mid-life crisis and instead of thinking he was an undertaker, he began to believe he was a normal human being who had a nice bandana collection and some motorcycles. He found a woman who had those same passions in life, and her name was Sara. They got married in 2000, and not long after, Taker got a freakishly big "Sara" tattoo across his throat. Even when he switched back to his zombie ways he still had it...because tattoos are permanent!
In 2001, she joined her husband in WWE when DDP began following her around and getting the footage aired on Raw. He broke into her house and stole one of her bras, as one does in their free time. Sara was none too pleased about this pre-meditated undergarment theft and came to confront her stalker on-air.
She ended up beating DDP in a match, and basically killed Taker’s character for a time as well. We just don't need to know about some wrestler's personal lives, and The Dead Man is near the top of that last. As for that "Sara" tattoo? It seems to have mysteriously disappeared shortly after their divorce.
