10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About TNA

8. Gail Kim's Contrasting Fortunes

Gail Kim is, without question, one of the most talented female wrestlers of her generation, but she has endured a real Jekyll & Hyde career.

Grossly misused by WWE, she was nothing more than a spot-filler throughout her first run with them and while she did capture the Women's Championship, she dropped it after just 28 days. Kim left in 2004, then returned in 2008, but the company still didn't know how to utilise her considerable talents, and she left in a cloud of controversy in 2011.

With only a single title reign across six years with the company, Gail is no more than a footnote in WWE history. Fortunately, this isn't the case in TNA. When she retires later this week, she'll do so as the most decorated women's wrestler the promotion has ever seen, with seven Knockouts Title runs to her name. She has held the belt for 711 combined days (300+ more than her nearest rival), and became the first woman to be inducted in the company's Hall Of Fame in 2016, solidifying her historic importance.

It's unreal that WWE weren't able to make better use of such an excellent performer. Unfortunately, this isn't the only time it's happened...
